One of the things I learned, as a real estate agent, was that I should have referral info for at least three different types of lenders because not every lender has every possible product availalble for their clients. The types of lenders are bank lenders, direct funding lenders and loan broker lenders. Also, there are dozens of types of loans such as FHA Loans, Conventional Loans, VA Loans, Reverse Mortgages, CalHFA loans, USDA Loans, etc…All of the lenders noted below, except Sheryl Hanson who only does reverse mortgages, will assist you with other types of loans. The agents who specialize in VA Loans and Reverse Mortgages are specifically noted below if you need a specialist in those loan types.

P.S. Speaking of loan types, keep in mind for those of you who are older than 62 that the Reverse Mortgages of today are not at all like they were about 10 years ago. They really may be your best option for a purchae or a refinance if you are over 62 years of age.
