Laguna West Info

Welcome
to My Laguna West Webpage

I could not always find what I wanted and needed on the official HOA website, so I created this site to provide information and links to important information for those of us who live in Laguna West. In fact, I don’t think there is an official HOA website any longer. This site is not an official site for the Laguna West Homeowners Association. My docs may not be the most current but I hope they are of value to you.You should have received a current copy when you purchased in this neighborhood.

If you need to “paint/stain” your fence, you need to check the guidelines for your neighborhood. There are different guidelines for different neighborhoods in Laguna West. I thought they were all the same. I live on the East side of Laguna West, on Babson, and the guidelines I received and which are available on the link below, advise you to use a grey semi-transparent stain made by Olympic. Unfortuntely, that product is no longer available. Here is the info for the currently available/approved paint/stain from Home Depot. Ask for BEHR – 780F.4u – Sparrow.  This is not a semi-transparent stain, and you really don’t want a semi-transparent stain since it does not cover very well. I tried it once and it was a huge failure and a waste of money.

For those of you are on the West side of Laguna West, here is the info the HOA sent to a home owner when she asked about the paint color for fences in her neighborhood.  I followed up with the HOA about the other colors and received the note below from Salina.

———————————–

“There are different colors for different areas of the community. Your area is the ‘blondish’ color. It is by Kelly Moore and it’s called El Dorado Tan.”

Thank you!

So, if you have a question, look at your copy of the Laguna West Single Family Homes Guidelines and look at the fences around you, then call Salina at the number above before you buy paint.  Most importantly, if you happen to choose the wrong color, you will probably get a fine letter from the HOA and be told to re-paint your fence.

Laguna West Association (LWA)- New Security Patrol Provider. The Laguna West Association (LWA) HOA, effective May 17, has a new security patrol provider. After seeking bids and interviewing several local and national companies, the Board of Directors selected a local company, Capitol Security Agency (CSA). CSA is a Sacramento based, veteran owned company formed in 2009, that currently employs veterans from all branches of the military.

They had excellent references from communities similar to Laguna West and have a reputation for being helpful to residents and assertive when it matters. Starting May 17, you will be seeing their marked cars (with light bars) at random hours, 7 days per week. A flyer with more information will be included with the next LWA newsletter.

Remember, our security patrol does NOT have police powers, they observe, ask questions (like checking to see if people fishing in our lakes have the proper permit) and contact the police if necessary. They do not look for CC&R violations, but will report glaring issues to our management company.

If you need to report a non-emergency, non-police issue on May 17 or after, you can contact their dispatcher at (916) 676-0420.

For emergency health and safety issues, always call 911.
