local Newcomers Club for their activities.

The first meeting of the Elk Grove Newcomers and Friends Club was held in December 1971.
The purpose of this club is to promote a friendly community group for persons moving into the Elk Grove area.
The club strives to form lasting friendships and to lessen the lost feeling so common to a newcomer.
Special interest and activities include Bridge, Bunco, Golf, Mah Jongg, Pinochle, and
Neighbors' Kitchen (a morning cooking group)
The Cork 'n' Fork, a Sunday afternoon or early evening dining out,
is one of the most popular and fun activities offered.
Singles are encouraged to participate in all events and group.
